What we do
Upledger Community Programmes is a not for profit, social enterprise, founded in 2017 providing intensive craniosacral therapy and one to one treatment programmes. Alongside the therapy itself, we conduct pilot studies and appropriate research protocols to support ongoing work and share with other interested parties.
Connect
Connection is part of what makes us human. It's where we thrive and heal. CST helps connect you to parts of yourself you thought you'd lost or had buried deeply and in doing so helps heal the connections with those around you.
"Connection is the energy that is created between people when they feel seen, heard and valued - when they can give and receive without judgment." - Brene Brown
Create
By creating a safe, supportive and non judgemental space from which to work, you can find the healing within you that has been out of reach.
"Safety is not just the absence of threat but the presence of connection." - Gabor Maté
Collaborate
Upledger Programmes works with other charities and CIC's in an attempt to get CST out into the wider community. We would like to work with children's charities, PTSD charities, mental health communities, neurological support groups, neurodiversity support networks.
"We don't heal in isolation, but in community." - S. Kelley Harrell

"Be strong, be fearless, be beautiful. And believe that anything is possible when you have the right people there to support you."
(Misty Copeland, American ballet dancer).
Our Programmes
5 day intensive therapy programmes for our CST therapists: Our therapist programmes are for SER 2 and beyond CST practitioners who are keen to polish their therapeutic skill set and at the same time get a whole day of treatment on the couch themselves to work on their own issues.

Testimonials
Paula
"I've come in from a very dark place and couldn't look at anybody... feel like you've had your arms around me all week.... believe I've got hope for the future."
Lee
"Realisation of the dark place I had been in has been a real jolt. I truly didn't realise how deeply depressed I was and l can honestly say I think you saved my life, I was at the brink! Complex PTSD since at least 2014 had drained my life, my soul and my reason for living."
Mark
"I have gained an insight into the darkness and anger that had taken ahold of my life. The experience has changed a part of me and I am eternally grateful for the chance offered to me to attend the weeks therapy. I would urge anyone who suffers from PTSD to look up this group they are truly amazing."
Nick
"How often have I sat there with the obligatory box of tissues on the table with the therapist looking at the clock. Sometimes when I was sobbing all I wanted was a hand on my shoulder or the grip of a hand but time after time nothing! This weeks therapy was so different so personal and so close it was beautiful."
Owen
"I was treated with genuine, warm, consideration by the therapists who eased the pain from my body and mind, their gentle hands guiding me towards a more peaceful path for the future."
Sarah
"It's been a wonderful journey. So much has come out this week that I had suppressed. I didn't know these things were inside me controlling my life."
Who we are
Founding directors and CST therapists, Caroline Barrow and Caro O'Neill, both attended Intensive Therapy Programmes in America and were so moved by the results they witnessed that they decided to set up a Community Interest Company to run them in the UK. Since 2017 we have run a series of programmes for police officers struggling with post traumatic stress injury, for clients living with trauma, for clients with physical disabilities due to accidents or stroke.
A dedicated community of Upledger CranioSacral Therapists volunteer their time to support the paid primary therapists during the 5 day process.
We are all passionate about the potential of the human body to heal itself given the right circumstances and support and believe in the innate wisdom of the human body to know what it needs to heal.
We are also supported by two other directors, Richard Frost and Andy Coates who help us with all things financial and business.
